Christmas around Fareham and Gosport is spread across town centres, high streets, museums and smaller community markets. This guide brings the confirmed 2026 highlights together, with more local dates added as organisers publish their final details.

Fareham Christmas takes place on Saturday 21 November from 10am to 7pm in West Street. Expect community and street performers, funfair rides, games, an outdoor market and festive food. The lights are scheduled to be switched on beneath the bandstand at 5.30pm.

Gosport’s Christmas Market and Lights Switch On follows on Saturday 28 November from 10am to 8pm in the High Street. The free event is built around seasonal stalls and town-centre entertainment.

For something different, the Hovercraft Museum in Lee on the Solent is running Hover Through Pantomime from 14 November to 13 December. Opening days vary, so check the museum’s event page before making a special journey.

Flo’s Market is adding festive pop-ups across November and December, including weekend markets and Thursday dates during December. These are useful for locally made gifts and a smaller-scale alternative to the main switch-on events.

The main events are free to attend, but parking, food, rides and ticketed attractions may cost extra. Town centres are likely to be busiest around the lights switch-on times, so arriving earlier will make parking and public transport easier.

Winter weather can change quickly on the coast. Check the organiser’s page on the day, wear sensible shoes and keep a flexible indoor option in mind if the forecast turns particularly Hampshire.

This page will be updated as more verified 2026 events are confirmed. The What’s On section contains individual listings with dates, venues, prices and booking links.
